As the crow flies
MIKS are choreographing a site-specific performance, in which the performers are a group of older people who call themselves The Buddies from Greenwich. The performance takes place at the stretch of the River Thames Walk between the Trafalgar Tavern and Power Station in Greenwich. The performance is drawing inspiration from the site's history of shipping and trading, using dance, text, music and personal memories.
Performance dates:
Saturday 10th July 12noon and 3pm
Sunday 11th July 12noon and 3pm
Men's Health Week Dance Film Project as part of Big Dance

In collaboration with filmmaker Roswitha Chesher, MIKS are currently creating a dance film as part of Men’s Health Week 14-20 June 2010
Men’s Health Week is an initiative by the NHS Greenwich, Greenwich Council and organised by Greenwich Dance. The project aims to raise the profile of men’s health by heightening the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease.
MIKS and Roswitha are working with male staff at Charlton Football Club, The Army, Cleansweep and staff at the Bus Depot in Thamesmead.
MIKS new production [FEVER]
Commissioned by Laban, supported by Greenwich Dance and funded by Arts Council England, MIKS are presenting [FEVER] in collaboration with four invited artists Christian Ubl, Valeria Primost, Marie-Louise Stentebjerg and Nicholas Quinn.
[FEVER] premiered at Laban Theatre on 11th and 12th of November 7.30pm
We will be touring in England and Europe in 2010.

MIKS resident artists at gDA
MIKS are now resident artists at Greenwich Dance.
We are very happy to be associated and supported by gDA, where "We're Working On It" was created as part of (Not) Simply Dancing in June 09.
